The 2nd Cycle Begins

Dave and I have an appointment booked for the 13th of December to talk to a consultant about starting our 2nd ICSI cycle the following month, so thats all until then ................................

What we have Decided to do now

Hello people, After taking some time out to come to terms with our negative result Dave and I have decided to have another cycle of ICSI at the Peninsular Centre for Reproductive Medicine in Exeter starting this coming January (2011).
This time will be paid for by ourselves as the NHS will only fund one cycle of ICSI in our area.

So now its time to knuckle down and save hard for the next few months.

The debrief Appointment for our failed cycle of ICSI (4th August 2010)

Today we wen to our debrief appointment for our failed cycle of ICSI, our appointment was with the nurse Manager at the Peninsular Centre for Reproductive Medinicne, Exeter.

The discussion centered around what had been learned from this 1st cycle that may apply to any further treatments we may under go in the future for example it  seems there may have been a slight intolerance to the injecting procedure with my eggs resulting in a low usable yield. This may have of course just been coincidental but it was worth noting.
Dave and I also learnt that the two embryos transfered were both grade two embryos and both were four cells.

We went on to discuss what our options were now and then sent home to talk about everything and decide together what we wanted to do and when.
